Notocactus uebelmannianus is a globular cactus from South America with a shiny deep green skin like a tomato. Spines are appressed (re-curved toward body). One of the few cacti with rich royal purple flowers. Flowers to 3" in diameter. Protect from frost. Provide bright light; hardy to 32F; to 5" tall. Water thoroughly when soil is dry.
