DESCRIPTION

Aloinopsis luckhoffii, native to South Africa, forms dense mats of low, clustered, small rosettes with thick, finger-like leaves. The textured leaves, which display shades of green, blue and purple, are dotted with tubercles and feature grayish-white teeth on the upper surface. Flowers are silky pale yellow with many petals. Excellent in an atrium or on a bright windowsill.

Bloom time: Winter
Size: 2 inches high and in diameter
Requires very porous soil with less humus or peat moss
Provide bright light to full sun (less in summer)
Water thoroughly when soil is completely dry to the touch
Hardiness: Zone 9a (20-25° F)
