DESCRIPTION

Echeveria purpusorum isn't the easiest echeveria to spot, given its diminutive size, but once you do, you'll pleasantly discover there's a lot to like about this slow-growing little one. The tight rosette features intricately detailed leaves that are nominally green, but the precise flavor of green, whether whitish or deeper, depends on factors such as sunlight and temperature. Irregular reddish-brown spots cover the leaves, most prominently so on the outside and on the upper half of the inside. The pattern is almost reptilian-like, with the outside spots noticeably redder. Red-orange flowers sprout from a stem that's up to 8 inches tall. Excellent as a windowsill plant or for the nooks and crannies of a rock garden where it doesn't get too cold in the winter months. And believe it or not, Echeveria purpusorum doesn't really have a common name. Any ideas?
