DESCRIPTION

The leaves of Aloe zanzibarica are lime green and margined with translucent whitish teeth. Rosettes turn reddish in bright light. Tall spikes of tubular orange flowers loved by hummingbirds. Requires porous soil with excellent drainage. Excellent for windowsill culture, dish gardens, and rock gardens. Looks great against pinks, reds, yellows, and oranges.

Bloom time: Spring
Size: To 5 inches high and 3 inches wide
Plant in porous soil with excellent drainage
Provide bright, filtered light and ample airflow
Water thoroughly when soil is completely dry to the touch
Hardiness: USDA Zone 10b (35-40° F)
Protect from frost
