Native to Guanajuato, Mexico. Forms small globular stems that are densely covered with glistening hair-like white spines. Very pettable. Offsets freely to form mounding clumps. Flowers are cream-colored and appear in the spring. Protect from frost. Provide filtered light. Hardy to 32F. Can grow to 5" tall. Water thoroughly when soil is dry. Zone 9.
